Adele

AdeleAdele Mara (April 28, 1923 to May 7 in 2010) was an American singer, actress and dancer who appeared in movies in the 1940s, 1950s, and television in the 1950s, 1960s and later. Adele St. Mara was her official name. She won an endorsement from Columbia Pictures[citation required].And she gained expertise in the studio's comedy films and "B" features. This was soon shortened to Adele Mara. Mara started her career as a receptionist the Three Stooges movie I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks and Leslie Brooks were the sisters of Rita Hayworth in the Fred Astaire film You Were Never Lovelier. Brooks is in the role of Alias Boston Blackie (1942), as the sister to an unjustly accused and released convict. When her Columbia contract ended in 1942, she moved to Republic Pictures, where she became a fixture in their westerns and outdoor adventures. She was a part in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch with John Wayne, Angel in Exile (leading lady), Sands of Iwo Jima with John Wayne in which she was John Agar's love interests, California Passage (leading lady) and Don Siegel's Count the Hours (supporting role).
