Brugel The only Canadian part of the cast for Season 1, was only occasionally observed. Then, in Season 2, she was a regular member of the cast and remains a part of the cast today. While discussing her role, as well as the parallels to her reality, Brugel may be able to relate to the racism and negative treatment she's endured in her other aspects of life. She explained: "I lean heavily on race. As I said, I've been through situations in which I felt like I was treated like the slave because I am white." The race I'm from has never caused me to be physically hurt in my life, but the verbal abuse I've had to endure. When someone says something hard or biting, I use any racial remarks that were real to me.
